In Definitiv, all national/nationwide public holidays for the next year are auto-updated in the system via a release closer to the end of each current year.
However, this does not include regional or gazetted public holidays for example AFL Grand Final where the Public Holiday date is not known in advance. These types of Public Holidays will need to be manually managed by customers under holiday configuration.
Please follow the below instructions to add/update Public Holidays in your system.
Navigate to Admin, Configuration, Holiday Configuration.
To add a Public Holiday, select + Assign New Holiday and select Save. Make sure you assign the correct date and location for the Public Holiday.
To edit an existing Public Holiday, select Edit and after you have made the changes, select Save.
If you receive the error message 'one or more validation errors occurred' when adding a public holiday, you will need to locate the error line and delete those public holidays which have not been assigned to a location. This will then allow you to add the public holiday correctly.
