The updates below will be available in Access Definitiv during the week commencing Monday 16 June 2025.

If you have a pay period ending in June but the Payment Date is in July please ensure you read the Help Centre article When a pay period crosses over the End of Financial Year.

A refactor has been undertaken on the Marginal Tax processor to bring it into line with the ATO guidelines, including additional information to give you more oversight on the PAYG calculations.

The change to the calculation method is effective from Pay Periods ending on or after 01/07/2025.

We encourage you to read the following articles to acquaint yourself with the changes prior to entering any marginal payments.

We are looking to introduce an additional calculation method of Method B (ii) into the product later. This is the initial step of the refactor.

The 2026 Australian national public holidays and the 2025 Friday before the AFL Grand Final Holiday have been added to Access Definitiv.

Please review all locations that have had public holidays assigned to them. Public holidays will automatically be linked to a location if locations were kept in the standardised format. If you have already added in public holidays for 2026, make sure there are no duplicates.

Delete any public holidays your organisation does not observe.

Manually add in any regional public holidays your organisation does observe.

If employees have already booked leave for the next calendar year, the estimated leave calculation will need to be recalculated. This can be done by viewing the application and clicking on the Recalculate Hours button.

Commencing 01/07/2025 there is no longer a requirement to meet the $1200 threshold. The Pay Item description has been updated to remove any mention.

Please note that this is still a manual process to change any backpay calculated that is greater than 12 months from the date of payment.
