This release (3.32) includes improvements to Qualifying Earnings management, Award Rule to calculate higher earnings and Single Touch Payroll, along with enhancements to the Access Evo platform and a range of fixes across the product.

The new rule can now allow you to automate the comparison calculation of annual leave loading against shift/weekend penalty rates over the full leave period, in line with Fair Work Ombudsman guidance. This ensures employees receive the correct higher-of amount for each period of leave taken under Modern Awards with a higher-of leave loading provision. Note that this calculation applies to leave taken during employment and does not currently extend to annual leave paid out on termination.

The following enhancements have been added to help assist with the new payday requirements:

Backpay qualifying earnings now correctly handles employees who meet the 30+ hours threshold retrospectively and employees under 18. Visibility of segmentation and breakdown details for backpay qualifying earnings has also been improved.

Qualifying earnings calculations now use the pay run payment date rather than the pay period end date. Note that pay runs covering the same period but with payment dates that fall on different sides of a threshold are not yet supported.

The ATO Access Gateway “Get Started” flow now correctly displays an error when no ABN is populated, rather than failing silently. New databases are also automatically activated on the Access ATO Gateway, removing the need for manual setup steps.

The Company Announcements panel on the home page now always displays, including announcements that have previously been acknowledged. When there is nothing to display, an empty-state message is shown.

The long service leave accrual fix released in V3.30 has been reversed, as it produced incorrect results in some scenarios. The original issue will be addressed in a future release.

An issue where the Work Schedule tab was hidden for users with the ViewEmployeeWorkSchedule permission when ViewEmployeeCalendar was scoped more narrowly has been fixed. The tab now displays correctly based on the user's actual permissions.

The Role filter dropdown on the Team Variance report now closes correctly after the date range is changed.

2FA app links have been removed from the email due to dead links.

Pay run messages no longer expose an internal employee identifier in the “does not have hire date specified” error. The message now displays in plain language.

Employees and managers now receive timely notifications throughout the leave approval process. Approvers are notified when leave is submitted and awaiting their approval. In multi-level approval workflows, the feed automatically routes to the next approver. Employees are notified when their leave request is approved or declined, with the reason shown in the app. Withdrawn leave requests are also handled correctly in the notification feed.

When you initiate your SSO session, you will now be redirected to Access Evo instead of back to Definitiv, ensuring you always land in the full Evo experience. Direct links, product menu access, local user login, and internal flows such as onboarding and MFA remain unchanged.
