Rostering Day View is a view that can be found in Teams Rosters which provides users with a detailed view of how their rosters are structured down to a day level.

To find it navigate to Employees, Team Roster, Rostering [NEW]

  2. In the bottom right of the screen, click Add from the Shift Management Widget.

  3. The shift start time will be pre-populated based on the starting time selected in step 1, with an end time of +8 hours.

  2. Click Edit from the Shift Management Widget (bottom right of the screen).

Shift Display Types

Each Shift in Day View is displayed according to its shift length over time. For shorter shifts, we have added two additional display types for a shift.

Coverage Count

At the top of the Day View user interface, we have included a coverage count to visualise roster coverage. Each hour of the day is broken down into 15-minute increments, and the number in each cell is the total count of employees rostered for each 15-minute increment.

Notes: The coverage count does not include the following shift types:

  • Duration Based Shifts

  • Vacancies

  • Approved Leave

  • Deleted Work Schedules

  • Rejected Shifts

Shifts Ending the Next Day

When a rostered shift’s finish time is marked as the next day, the remainder of the shift is shown when navigating to the next day, and the shift end time displayed on the shift will state (NEXT DAY). When viewing a rostered shift that has started on the previous day, the shift start time displayed on the shift will state (PREVIOUS DAY).

Note: Rostered shifts from the previous day are not included in your roster cost totals at the bottom of the screen. A warning banner will be displayed when shifts starting the previous day are included in the current day’s view.

The following actions from Week, Fortnight, and Month views in Team Rosters are not available in Day View.
