Superannuation manual refund process

Updated over 3 months ago

When a manual refund is received, the only method available to repay this money is through a manual payrun.

  1. Create a manual payrun with a payment date that will be included in the next superannuation batch.

  2. Include the employee.

  3. Select add line-item Super Adjustment.

  4. Enter the amount and units.

  5. Publish and lodge.

  6. Create or recalculate the open super batch.

An adjustment payrun to reduce the year-to-date values for superannuation will be required.

After the adjustment payrun has been processed, a separate superannuation batch will be required for the above negative adjustment payrun, and this batch will need to be closed so that this negative adjustment contribution does not get included with the next superannuation batch.

A super batch can be closed from the summary page, and no changes can be made to the batch after it has been closed. A closed batch is deemed to be processed in the system.
