Miscellaneous - Data Import/Export - Award Policy - User Guide

Ability to create pay items, custom fields, shift types and accrual types if not existing in database

Updated over 3 weeks ago

This feature gives users the flexibility to create key elements referenced within an award policy, such as linked Pay Items, Custom Fields, Shift Types, and Accrual Types. By enabling these components to be set up in one place, it significantly streamlines the process and reduces the time required to upload new award policies.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before you can use the Award Import/Export functionality, your system administrator must configure the appropriate permissions.

For System Administrators:

  • Turn on permissions on the applicable roles.

  • Import/Export Award Policies (Configuration).

Data Import/Export

Export

  1. Navigate to Miscellaneous > Data Import/Export > Award Policy.

  2. Select the Award Policy version to download.

  3. Select the checkbox Include Award Dependencies (To not include do not check the box).

  4. Click on Download.

The award policy download will include the following configuration item included in the policy:

  • Pay Items.

  • Custom Fields.

  • Shift Types.

  • Accrual Types.

Import

  1. Navigate to Miscellaneous > Data Import/Export > Award Policy.

  2. Select to either Create New Policy or Specific Award Policy to create a new version.

Note: Ensure you specify a commencement date if creating a new version of a specific award. This process automatically ceases the previous version.

3. If Dependencies were included, the pop-up will include the warning.

4. Once imported, the output will advise of any issues with the import.

You will need to review the issues and update manually inside the award rules if required.
