From 1 July 2022, the super guarantee (SG) minimum earnings requirement of $450 per month was removed for all eligible employees, including employees under 18 years. However, the requirement for employees under 18 to still work more than 30 hours a week for SG payment remains.

A hotfix was deployed to your database on COB Thursday 16/11/22 to correct the inaccurate calculation methodology previously implemented.
β
In addition to this, we introduced a new checkbox labelled Include in Hours Worked on the Pay Item Modal. This flag will then be used to sum the worked hours for employees under the age of 18. This should only be checked on pay items that contribute to the calculation of the required 30hrs per week being worked.
β
Please be aware that in the event of an overpayment, this fix will not result in any historical backpay, unless a historical pay period is opened. We will reach out to you separately if you have been impacted.
β
What you need to do
Review all applicable pay items and tick Include in Hours Worked checkbox.
Recalculate any open pay runs for any employees under the age of 18.
In the event, you have already published your pay run and no superannuation was calculated due to the Hours Worked setting, you can open another pay run for the same pay period and re-calculate for any employees under 18.
