From Definitiv version 3.11, Work Schedules were enhanced to automatically cease an existing work schedule when a new Work Schedule is created.
This enhancement ensures that overlapping work schedules cannot be created, which can cause overpayments to employees.
How the Automatic Ceasing of Work Schedules works
Assigning a new company work schedule or custom work schedule to an employee when the employee already has an existing work schedule will automatically cease the existing work schedule assigned to the employee, with a cease date set 1 day before the new work schedule commencement date.
Important Information
Employee Workbook - The Employee Workbook supports this enhancement and will automatically cease an existing work schedule when a workbook containing an Add action for Work Schedules is imported.
