From Definitiv version 3.14 release, we have improved the messaging related to Projected Leave calculations. These calculations occur when a leave application is submitted and may be restricted for an accrual type that is set to disallow negative leave balances for an employee.
Performance Optimisation
To enhance performance, we have optimised the calculation process by caching leave application data and limiting projections to a maximum of 2 years.
Since public holidays are typically announced only one year in advance, projections beyond 2 years may be less accurate due to potential changes in holiday schedules.
Messaging
When a leave application is blocked due to an insufficient accrual balance, the messaging now clarifies that pending leave is factored into the balance calculation, both at the application submission and application approval stages.
Withdrawn Paid Leave
New messaging warns users that withdrawn paid leave cannot be reused until the next pay run.
