At this stage, there is no feature in the system to hide leave type from employees.
You can only hide leave balance from employees.
To set this up:
Navigate to Admin, Configuration, Accrual Types.
Select edit to expand details on the relevant leave type.
Change the column field balance visibility according to preference.
Click Save.
