To enable the processing of additional pay items on a portion of the tagged hours from pay periods with an end date greater than 18/01/2023.
The most common example of this is calculation shift penalties on the tagged ordinary hours.
Award Policy Configuration
Example being used below:
Ordinary Time to be paid Monday – Sunday up to 10 hours per day and 76 hours per pay cycle.
15% Additional Penalty for hours worked between 4am and 6am
20% Additional Penalty for hours worked between 8pm and 4am
50% Additional Penalty for hours worked on a Saturday
75% Additional Penalty for hours worked on a Sunday

No changes to this process.
Shift Penalty
To cap the hours calculated at the Tag of OrdHours add the payment clause of Add Pay Item per Tag. This will only pay for the intersections of the Time of Day that fall into the tagged hours.

As per the Timesheets both Wednesday and Thursday were to attract penalties based on the hours worked but as the hours had overflowed into the OT15 and OT20 buckets the amounts are not calculated.
If you do select match whole shift it will still stop calculating once hours overflow into other buckets.
Considerations
Reductions in time via Tasks and Custom Fields will only occur based on the duration of the end of the shift. Time of Day is not considered in either calculating a Custom Field or deducting the time from a timesheet.
