When you are in the roster, where a lock icon can be seen, if you hover over it a text bubble is shown that notes Employee has no active positions in the selected team’s hierarchy under you for the rostered period.
This means that the employee in question is not assigned in the team’s chart and there will also be no approver selected in the teams tab under the employee’s profile.
It is advised to check this information as well as the permissions set to the employees responsible for the roster to ensure they are correct to remove the lock symbol and allow rostering for users.
