There are two types of Leave Policies:
- Fixed percentage 
- Entitlement period 
The type of policy can be reviewed within the setup of the leave policy in Admin, Policies, Leave Policies.

Fixed rate
- The Percentage Rate is the rate at which an employee will accrue leave. 
- The Applicable Pay Items contain all the pay items when paid to an employee they will accrue leave based on the rate specified.

Entitlement period
- An Entitlement Period can be created with the option to add a custom time duration 
- A rate can be specified for the setup custom Entitlement Period 
- The Applicable Pay Items contain all the pay items when paid to an employee, they will accrue leave based on the rate specified.
